Delurking Day

So today is the Great Mofo Delurking Day, started by Schmutzie at Milk Money or Not, Here I come. Schmutzie had noticed that there was a marked decrease in comments lately all over the blogosphere, and yes, it's been summer and all, but STILL, it's fall now, time to get back to normal.

The Great Mofo Delurk 2007

If you are too shy to comment, email me at aurelia dot cotta at gmail dot com.

And seriously to the person in the Ontario government reading me, please reveal yourself. Same to the person at Health Canada who has subscribed to me on bloglines.

I have your IP addresses and even your department sections. If you are simply reading my blog for personal reasons...no problem, you are totally welcome, what with all the infertiles working for the government, but if you are monitoring this site for other purposes, like figuring out a departmental communications strategy----uncool.

I have lots of stuff I'd like to blog about, and knowing I am being watched by you guys makes me feel a little Big Brother paranoid, K?

So be nice! Smooch!

  1. Yikes. Now WE'RE the paranoid ones!

  2. I'm guessing, but I think the drop in comments is work related. Everyone I know is so insanely busy at work, myself included. I'm peeking in my google reader during the day at work, but I don't have a whole lot of time to make that 'comment commitment' But then again I'm usually pretty bad with the comments anyway

  4. Hey you gov't folks! If you're an IFer, Aurelia will be able to rest. If you're stalking her for other reasons, leave my buddy alone!!!

  6. Hi!! I am not a lurker, but just wanted to say hello. I haven't been able to read quite as often because my job is completely insanely out of control! Hopefully I will have more time soon! I get some weird government IPs also and some strange ones through places that make me wonder whether colleagues of my brother read my blog (how could that have happened?) - which bugs me cause I've been posting a lot about our dysfunctional childhood and alcoholic mother. Not to mention posting about my messed up self - ha ha ha. Oh well. Good luck getting the lurkers to come out! I wish people would delurk on my blog!

  7. Am I too late for the de-lurking?

  8. Neither in Canada nor working for the government, but I do read your blog occasionally (read: when time allows) so I'll de-lurk here anyway.

  9. Are we having a delurking party? Can I bring anything?
    Not "spying" just surfing!

  10. Not really de-lurking, and I don't know if you read me, but just recently I've attracted a couple CA government ISPs, which certainly has me scratching my head. Not to be too paranoid and all, but I am thinking they came to my from here via my comments ('cause originally it was via my blogger profile). Anyway, I particularly noticed them because of you mentioned them here recently. Of course, they may be other folks entirely ...

  11. Beth, I hope you come back and read this. Yes, there are some bloggers who work for government that are infertile or are Moms, and I know some of their names and blogs because we've chatted about it.
With hundreds of thousand of employees it's likely they would have lots of parents and not yet parents, (and LAS, they probably have a few people in recovery too, who might enjoy reading you, but ask your brother about the IP addresses if you are concerned.)

So, you can probably relax, the one's I'm concerned about sat on my blog for 20 hours at a stretch, and are watching certain posts only. Slightly creepy.

Hello everyone else!!! Nice of you to drop by!

  13. Delurking from the Philly area of the USA. Read your last post. Hope you guys all get treated soon. Does not sound good to mess with that kind of bug.

  16. I think I have commented once so not sure if that means I am not a lurker but delurking all the same as an IF govt employee from the UK.
