Who Am I?

I'm doing a bit of double take right now, since I noticed another Aurelia is in the blogosphere. Reality is that anyone can use a pseudonym but I have to admit, with this one I never thought I'd find another. The other Aurelia appears to be a mommyblogger but she doesn't have quite the same kind of history I do. Oh, who am I kidding---no one on earth has a history as bizarre as mine! I am such a freak....I may have to start signing off as Aurelia Cotta again to avoid confusion. Hmmm...

Anyway, if you see someone who signs off as Aurelia on comments, double check if it's me. I don't mind being blamed for whatever I do, but I don't want to be blamed or credited for things someone ELSE does, hehe, unless it's really awesome and cool...in which case, assume it's definitely me, don't bother to check.

Also, I'm working on a post for tomorrow all about Bea's questions and some of the comments and answers she's had. I had a really really really long comment about it today and then figured I was hogging the comments so shortened it, but it's damn hard to answer it well. I think it's too hard for one blogger or even a few. Go over and see what I mean. If you've ever been infertile, had a loss, had a child, lost a child, or hell, just contemplated the meaning of life, you'll be intrigued.

  1. Hey there. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I just wanted to let you know that I'm not expecting to ovulate at all. See, I don't ovulate--at least, I very rarely ovulate on my own. Gotta love PCOS. :) So with my doc giving me Provera to start my periods, that's just to make my body go through a fake cycle. Then, hopefully, in February I can take Letrozole to try to ovulate again.

  2. I noticed that comment too, but it didn't read like you so I clicked over to her blog.

I'm scared to think about Bea's question. I don't think it is a good idea for me to get pregnant again but of course as I hand off my maternity and infant clothes I get these pangs.....

  3. I sorta know how you feel on the name issue. A new "Pam" showed up recently in comments and since that's one of my many nicknames (PJ, Pam, Pammie, Pamela, Pamela Jeanne) it can confuse even me at times! But Aurelia...now that's unusual and unexpected.

P.S. Thanks for the comment on the BlogHer categories. I'm hoping to nudge them in a new direction.

  4. Interesting. I wonder why she chose that name. I'm just waiting for another niobe to show up, since it seems (for someone who's into Greek mythology, anyway) such an obvious choice for a grieving mother.
