It's either a bruised or a cracked rib. Definitely okay on the placenta and definitely okay on the kidneys....only one little wee problem.
My ribs hurt like a motherf---er. Pass the codeine, and see you in the morning.
This kid must have the strongest feet and legs of any in utero entity ever. Definitely a runner, or a linebacker material. I just wish he'd learn to be gentle with his poor osteoporosis-prone mother.
WOW, that must have been some kick! Thinking of you, i hope the codeine works!
ReplyDeleteDamn, that sucks.
ReplyDeleteFeel better, soon. Labor with a cracked rib won't be any fun.
I'm glad you have an answer, but I'm sorry it hurts so much. Hope things improve.
ReplyDeleteHoly crud!! I expect to see this kid as the new Beck.ham or an NFL kicker!
ReplyDeleteOuch!
ReplyDeleteHope the rib and all the family stuff gets sorted out.
Bea
My god, you poor thing!
ReplyDeletei'm sending you big hugs and good healing vibes!
ReplyDeleteHope the codeine is doing its stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're relatively OK. I hope you get some pain relief :-(
ReplyDeleteUm, uh, yay? Samuel kicked and it hurt, but wow, not that badly. I'm sorry. Lay your butt down and take some codeine and rest. Good lord.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, what a kick! Just a little friendly advice - P was a hellacious kicker, and child is active as you like. As in, crazy active. Also, for about the first year of her life she kicked her legs furiously. All.the.time. Like restless leg syndrome in infant form.
ReplyDeleteI understand broken/cracked ribs are extremely painful. I hope they heal quickly and that you're not in too much pain. As if it's not enough to be heavily pregnant as well!
So relieved. Lets hope he changes position enough to kick something else.
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer! hang in there...you are almost done
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd be hoping that someone had a cracked rib (I'll bet you never thought so either...!). CFL training camps should be starting shortly. ; ) As the above poster said, hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteOwie, owie, owie!
ReplyDeleteBaby D did that to me, talk about painful. Indeed he has very strong legs :)
